these kd rockets have lost every matchup against the best competition on their schedule so far. :francis: I don’t like that trend.
They're missing their starting point guard and those teams they lost to already been playing together for a while :russell:these have been good games it's not like they getting blown out

It's especially annoying when the big matchups are few and far between. For example, our next very good team isn't until we face DEN again on Dec 20th. Between then and now is PHX and a buncha struggle teams. A couple early-season positives tho:

(1) We're 3rd in overall net rating/point differential behind only OKC and DEN... all three win by an average of double digits. OKC wins by +15... when adjusted by strength of opponent tho, we're actually #1.

(2) Based on current standings, OKC has the toughest strength of schedule of the remaining 60+ games (DEN has 6th toughest, GSW 7th), whereas Houston has the lightest (LAL has 6th lightest). So it should be a long season where it's not much breathing room between the 2 and 4-seeds, for better or for worse.

Tho looking at the standings now, over half the West is cooked less than 20-games

Can’t even pretend with the Warriors, Grizzlies, Mavericks and Clippers.
