Beginning of the year I thought the East was the Knicks to lose. Was looking like I was a fool for thinking that (may still be) but they are rounding into form slowly but surely

Also, with the caveats about OKC’s start to the season being a byproduct of having the easiest schedule… people conveniently leave out the next 3 teams at the bottom of strength of schedule:
  • DEN (2nd easiest)
  • LAL (3rd)
  • MIN (4th)
By winning the NBA Cup matchups you actually end up facing tougher teams earlier than the schedule would’ve dictated i.e. we would’ve got an early DEN/OKC matchup this week if DEN had won their bracket.

After listening to LeBron talk to Nash about his Prime years I just had to reminisce on Prime LeBron and my goodness he was a man amongst boys in his prime

My favorite Bron years. Game wasn't as refined as post-decision Bron, but him basically just hooping off great basketball instincts and alien athleticism was absolutely amazing to watch. Every night he was just doing shyt nobody had any business doing:wow:

With the 2025-26 season underway, The Athletic canvassed 36 executives across the league — presidents, general managers, VPs and assistant GMs — to rank the NBA’s top front offices. We added a wrinkle this time, too, asking the execs to name one front-office group on the rise.
Each executive ranked their top five, as well as their chosen riser. Points were allotted the same way they are in NBA MVP voting: 10 points for first place, seven points for second place, five points for third, three points for fourth and one point for fifth. The only rule: Execs could not vote for their own team. Respondents were granted anonymity for both their votes and conversations discussing them in exchange for their candor. — Sam Amick
