The comparison is spot on cuz they are both ball dominant high volume low efficiency mid range iso scorers.
Neither are great defenders and poor playmakers. The only way you can offset this is by having an elite playmaker point guard.
No coincidence Melo had his best playoff run with Chauncey to get him good rhythm shots.

I agree. Tho it was less about getting Melo good shots and more about Chauncey setting the table for everyone else.
Melo likely worked best in the KD role as a plug n play mercenary operating outside of an actual system, same applies to Paolo… issue is Melo wasn’t in the same ballpark of shooting or efficiency as KD (Paolo ain’t in the same stratosphere) so the deadball isos just don’t hit the same (pause).
Yet it’s either that for Paolo or he’ll have to simply… get smarter at basketball or never be worth a damn to a winning team lol.
