Horford was the anomaly in the matrix. He could guard Biid one on one without having to double.

I saw a video of a former scout talking about how NBA teams aren’t necessarily looking for “talent” but for “roles” that offer specific solutions.
aka Giddey is a better talent but Caruso offers more specific solutions to a title team, since such a team will already have a talent that does what Giddey does. Porter Jr with DEN and Kuminga with GSW are other examples of talent.
Obviously being a “talent” can also be a “role” that a team is looking to fill but there’s only so many talents that a team wants to develop, esp if they don’t feel they’ve hit the jackpot pot yet

Talking about Kuminga right? GSW definitely came across like some hoe ass nyggas for how they handled the situation, for sure
Part of it is also the extra spotlight it gets bc it's on a team with Steph Curry fresh off a championship. If he was getting benched in Houston like what Ime was doin with Cam, it'd still be a problem but no one would care. Tho to our credit, we didn't p*ssyfoot around when it was time to move him either.
Yea why even tank his value? If it doesnt work out ok just trade him. Why do all the extra shyt and try to ruin him? It makes no sense when Pat Spencer is getting clock and Draymond is stinking it up.
