I've been telling cats about Jokic's defense for the longest -

He plays conservatively on that end during the game so he doesn't get into foul trouble. It's better for him to let a bucket or two go through than risk fouling and then being out the game for 3-5 minutes more than he has to. But when the clutch period hits and he doesn't have to worry about giving away needless fouls, he locks in.

as great as wemby is that was a bad double that led to the gordon slam to send it to ot. they essentially had to switch otherwise jokic gets too much space and an open look so at that point stay on gordon but maybe cheat be in position to potentially help at the rim. he got too eager to make a play and made it easy for them.
