:wtfdraper:So they aren't the top 3 of all time? Who is then? Enlighten me...

have you seen Paul Warfield play? Charlie Joiner? Bobby Mitchell? Don Hutson? Raymond Berry? and other players in the pre-78 NFL? (I mention pre-78 because the rule changes lead to the explosion of passing and receiving stats in the modern NFL.)

Its better just to say what we saw because we cant speak on what happened before our times, especially since it was a totally different league.

in Oakland he had Kerry Collins, Mark Tuiassassopo, Anderw Walter, and Aaron Brooks throwing him the football
and in arizona fitz had max hall, john skelton, and derek anderson throwing him the ball in 2010

again, plenty of good WRs had good seasons with trash qbs and situation around them

anquan bolding had 100 catches/1300 yards/8 tds with jeff blake and josh mccown

a washed up TO put up 800 yards and 8 tds with trent fukking edwards and pickspatrick

again, if you want to be called the greatest, a season where you have 500 yards and people call you out for quitting...is not a good look

and his numbers were comparable to MAUCE's. That was the point of me saying that.

and MAUCE's numbers were comparable to TO's in Buffalo.

Boldin was a special case tho. That year was remarkable, but the exception never proves the norm.

MAUCE was injured most of that 2nd season in Oakland and actually played on it. I dont think he quit, he was injured and was playing for a shyt team.

I remember him dragging himself around on a Sunday night game, last game of the season, against the Giants and still ended up with 2 TDs but wasnt right at all.

and again, team sport is a team sport. but the greatest at every position still get theirs, I dont care about the situation. pick the greatest position players at every sport and none of them have a season comparable to the failure moss had, in their prime

:snoop:

I mixed up his last year in Oakland with his last year in Minny.

MAUCE was carrying a hamstring injury that season tho.

the Pats and Vikings set an NFL record for points

that vikings offense was :whew: but the greatest show on turf was much better moreso because they were mofe balanced on offense.

Jerry and Randy are without question the 2 greatest WRs to ever play this game.

I saw em both..

Jerry was ridiculous and he has the numbers to back him up.

Randy's impact cannot be understated.

He's had 3 down seasons and took a year off and still has 15,000 REC YDS..

Its not just about numbers but that lets you know how dominant Randy was

So who do you think are the top 3 receivers of all time?

The 3 best I HAVE EVER SEEN are TO, Rice, and Mauce (not in that order).

That is the point I am trying to make. I cant comment on older cats or even look at their stats to make a case because the NFL before 1978 is completely different to post 1978.
