the stigma that comes with ratings and the reason you nikkas even bring them up - is because a decline in ratings implies that less eyes are on the product. Less people are watching..
and that's simply not true.. people might not be watching on Cable tv (which is a fukking dying industry) as much as they were in the 90's when the internet was way less prevalent and cable tv was our primary source of entertainment, but people are still watching. the number of network subscriptions speaks for itself..
