The Marathon has the most emotional significance for me. That was the soundtrack to every workout and finals week back in my college days

After that it's Victory Lap and then the Crenshaw mixtape
The Marathon is number 1 for me too. Came out senior year in high school. Was the soundtrack to my life. Been in rotation since it dropped in 2010:wow:.

2nd for me gotta be Crenshaw cuz that came out during the best times of my life. Had a bomb ass job. Partying every weekend and even on the weekdays without a care in the world:russ:

Miss them days:to:

1. Bullets Ain't Got No Name Vol. 1
2. Shared 2nd place: Victory Lap/Bullets Ain't Got No Name Vol. 2

I felt that after Bullets Ain't Got No Name Vol. 3 the music I was hearing from Nip was a departure from what made me fukk with his music in the first place, the content just felt a bit less focused and just didn't hit me like the other shyt. I always fukked with the Bullets series but was missing that raw, hungry, street vibe from that series in the new music. I always wanted to give it all a real shot so I'll be bumping other things. That said: Victory Lap is straight fire.

I fukks with it all it’s like asking a parent “Who yo favorite kid?”

I feel like I matured with the music myself on a personal level...when Bullets 2 came out I was a couple years outta high school still running with gang banging ass nikkas and that’s what I felt the most at the time. With every project you could see the progress and I feel like I progressed as a person along with him.

So my answer is different moods bring different favorites...Victory Lap is his favorite tho. You can tell he put everything he had in it. Imma have to agree with him and say it’s his best body of work overall.

Last thing I’mma say is nikkas need to start putting more respect on Mailbox Money. He was really talking that talk throughout that entire project.

The Marathon. I always knew he was dope but The Marathon is when I realized he was special. That bonus outro track after I Don't Give A Fucc has remained my go to joint in a lot of times when I needed motivation. That track right there symbolized Nipsey's entire life to me. His drive to achieve and his desire to motivate others.

The lyrics feel prophetic at this point...

The world would not know Jesus Christ if there was never Judas
This knife thats in my back
Will be the the truth that introduced us

They hope my homies kill me
But I don’t want the fame, I just wanted y’all to feel me
It’s my time, so I’m going in
We ball till we fall, fukk how the story ends
We see these nikkas hatin’
I know you hoes plotting
I ain't worried bout it
Cause I know God got me

Say I know God got me
Yeah I know God got me
Yeah I know God got me
See I ain't worried bout it
Cause I know God got me”
