He's an underground MC. Always has been.

Dude is like 25 years into his career, and has always kept it consistent. But he's not going to make the kinda records that brings the casuals in. He's a rapper's rapper. Since his days of running around with Hitchcock, he's always said that he wants to make the music his own way. So I doubt that music is even his main source of income. I remember him saying awhile back that he had a job.
I been messing with Ran since the A-Team, that's my guy but he has tried to make club, catchy records on a few of his solo albums years ago, they just didn't catch on

Feel like that had to be pre-Craven, maybe even before he had switched his flow up completely. To me he used to sound kind of like one of those generic east coast rappers. Like he would be right along with Tru-Life and other dudes like that. Him switching his flow up did wonders.

Listened to this in the gym today and I thought it was fire. Ransom and East have good chemistry together and complement each other well on this album.

Al Kabir Beach might be my favourite track so far. Had to put it on repeat when I was bench pressing :wow:

Maybe it’s cause I don’t listen to a lot of Dave East, so he isn’t bad to me on here. It’s just the Ransom is SO much better than him from top to bottom. It’s like a duo that combines for 80 and Ransom scored 67.
Yeah I fukk wit east but ran ran laps around that nikka. The pairing is uneven, east would’ve faired better on a tape with like est gee or Albee Al a skill set in that vein

Album of the year. The fact this thread ain’t pinned is crazy. Ransom is the best rapper alive right now and I don’t even engage in them talks often. But he’s on another level than everybody.
I think it was pinned at one moment.

After listening to this it's not even up for discussion Ran is a far more better rapper than Dave East.
