So, people don't like dudes with complex words in their bars, even though they're saying the same bunch of nothing that the dumb-it-down rappers are saying.

So Nas, Lupe, Budden, Face, and GZA are pretty much the main dudes that specifically craft their verses with a topic in mind. Ironically, those are the dudes most on this board aren't huge fans of. So why don't we just say Big worded rappers vs Simple word rappers? Because that's pretty much what we're coming to.

And while I'm a fan of Ransom, for doing what he condescends in the video, he also has a bunch of tracks with RJ Payne, that hasn't had topics in his bars since he changed his name from Reign Man. And most of y'all like RJ Payne for the same ish.

Ransom doesn't want it with Lupe.

Lyrical miracle, like other posters have said in the thread, is aimless chaining together of words with no actual point, just to rhyme and seem like a lyricist. Check Lupe's even most abstract songs, there is always a point to the shyt he's saying.

Either way I hope we get some verses out of this.

Ransom is right on the principle.Lupe is not a great example of what he's talking about

Yea after watching the video this is what I got out of it. Also, anybody that didn’t actually watch the vid would probably think he’s shytting on Lupe which isn’t true at all. The vid is hilarious

If you listen to those Eminem interviews - the one he did w crook, it's clear he knows he's doing this shyt. It's just what more does he have to say? The only thing left that's fun for HIM and some of these cats is to just have fun with structure/flow. He knows most of these songs ain't about shyt. At this point it's about challenging themselves and what they like. It makes for bad music imo, but I understand the rationale.
He need to read some books or something or just pretend to be broke and rap about that again.
