This album was sock-drawer status for me, I didn't even buy it I had borrowed it off my friend and I was going to burn a copy. Had it stashed in my top drawer and within 48 hours of me going back to find it, shyt was gone.

Pa dukes tossed it to me a couple weeks later on some "don't ever bring shyt like this into the house"

:snoop:

I had this album too, shyt was funny as hell...I need to dl this...I remember one of the dudes featured on it was named "Shorty shyt Stain Pa" or something ridiculous like that :heh:

My Mom took away my Spice 1 Hits CD that was released in 1998...

Borrowed it from my Dads house.

She took away that and T.I's Urban Legend CD after she heard the line about him having groupies eating puzz and sucking D until their mouth got gooey

I got caught rapping a Snoop verse from Silkk, Charge it 2 da game album and got rap banned from the house

From there, I got caught trying to sneak Master P, Da Last Don in the house and my grandma made me listen to it in front of her...First two songs were socially conscious so she was gone let it slide...but then "if she ain't a gangsta bytch" came on and she started evil laughing before she smashed that bytch in front of me....then she patted me down and found 2pac," R u still down" in my coat....smashed....

Damn near developed an underground tunnel system to get albums in after that, hiding my stash under floor boards and shyt...good times

What was you supposed to listen to?

I mean, I get it....you catch a 11 year old rapping about smacking bytches, then you listen to the cd and there's an interlude of people fukking, you might flip.

Ironically, I came home from college one time and caught my grandma blasting Lil Boosie. I was shook.

My mom gave me the freedom to listen as I pleased. I knew she was a G when she hated Rappers Delight but liked The Message. Our entire family was big on music. Brother is a pretty "big" DJ... She gave a lot of stank faces though. Easy Duz It comes to mind.

Don't know if I've already replaced to this old ass thread but my mum "didn't let me" buy any albums with parental advisory stickers on them back when I was younger (10-12 ish) but I found ways around it. back in the early 90s some of them were literally stickers so I would just take it off and she wouldn't know the difference. some of them didn't have it on there anyway like I remember getting Das Efx 2nd album and one of the Fu Schnickens albums, they didn't have it on there but they def had a couple of "bad words" on there. funnily enough tho, she bought me the Vanilla Ice tape when it came out and that had songs about sex and all kinds of shyt on there I guess it didn't have a PA sticker on it and she didn't realise, same with Hammer. by the time I was 11/12 I was dubbing tapes off the homies and their parents weren't so strict so I had Snoop Dogg and Onyx, Gravedigger, Wu Tang, all kinds of shyt. One of my good friends had an older homie down the street who used to buy EVERY rap album he could get his hands on is we had access to a lot of albums that most kids didn't.
