Now that I see the data a lot of them African countries provide no data. Reminds me of the thread I made about the worst countries for women and a lot were in Africa

Not familiar enough with Sweden culturally to speak on it but it might be there is less taboo on reporting sexual assault and rape. Most countries will be under reported because the victims are ashamed and/or scared to admit it.

This is kinda true. Just by changing the legal meaning of rape, the numbers in sweden went up like 75%. Basically rape there doesn't need to be shown to have violence or coercion, just as long as there's no affirmative consent. If everyone else had the same standards, they probably wouldn't be near the top.Don't believe Sweden for a second.

Sweden’s been the ‘rape capitol’ of Europe since like the 90’s, mostly because their standards of sexual assault differ from a lot of other countries.
I made a thread trying to look intro the history Of gender relations particularly in South Africa it didn’t get any replies as far as my research took me it seems despite being patriarchal Zulu tribes were taught to respect women in the family and had many matriarchal roles in the society.
I know mass sexual assaults occurred when whites colonized the land. I just don’t know how things got so bad in the modern age to where this because such a huge problem in Africa in thinking miseducation and poverty affecting the values of the locals?

My cousin went to Zimbabwe with a non-profit and he told me he spoke to some of the locals and they were saying tha Mugabe used to spread rumors that if you have AIDS having sex with a virgin would cure it.
This caused alot of rape but also increased the spread of the HIV virus as well.
doubt mugabe was this stupid. that sounds more like classic CIA disinformation.
