I can't agree with that. There are few bands that make it big, most of them never leave the garage or bar. But those that do, they can keep touring forever, but that's a small group. With singers, if you don't have the right look you won't make it either.

Rap is actually fairly easier compared to other genres to break into. You can always beef with an established act to get noticed. You can follow trends, and try lottery-ticket your way to fame, and so forth. You won't have as much longevity, but you can start a career.
Let's use your 2016 bs formulas for getting your foot in the door for an artist that popped up on the scene in 92/93. Smh.

The I in Team
this thread reminded me of @Hawaiian Punch thread the other day

change the names and places and this story can apply to many a rapper

its sad but true

theres no shame in getting a regular job though.

and to the guy who said dont love anything, nah duke.

thats the attitude that got us here in the first place,

agallah name is cemented in hip-hop history whether he wants to acknowledge it or not

there is 8 billion people on this planet

i know for a fact 10,000,000 people know who he is even if you have to slap gta3 in front of them again

that is power

the fact he cant monetize that is another issue

but he has a legacy, the legacy was hip-hop.

so whether agallah quits or raps or jumps in front the 2 train

i will always strive to "keep risin to the top"

Like Craig Mack said in the song

"No piece of pie
Going home broke
Enough for a beef patty, coco bread and smoke"
