Every rapper makes radio songs to sell records they nvr made no corny shyt they didn't make no "you owe me" type bullshyt. If u goto any mobb or prodigy album/discography 90 percent if not more of the records got a grimy feel u can hate but u can't fukk with the raw legacy. :francis:

Exactly.

No Father To MY Style.. A Son Unique
It's not that he didn't hold their hand in the game...it all boils down to what happened with Worm at the Murda Muzik release party at the Tunnel and the subsequent retaliation.
Thats exactky what imreferring too. Pee didnt walk them into club like children they come late and get mad over corn shyt.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
true but he's the father of the qb sound in any format

l.e.s played his part in the qb sound

he added to the sound because his style is clearly distinct from Havocs
I was just gonna quote him and say Alc put a different spin on the shyt. To the point where Hav was even using Alc instead of his own production at one point.

Honestly, we shouldn't even be discussing QB politics because that ish don't exist. Goodfellaz stomped out Killa sha too. These dudes pick and choose, then change the rules to fit that narrative.

That Bridge performance last year with Saigon, royal Flush, Trag, Poet when Trag and Mega started arguing about the QB sound and Trag said "Mega you ain't even from QB." At the end of the day, they're just a dysfunctional family. The only irreparable relationship was Lake and P, but even 2 years later, he still got P for his album. WTF ish is that.
Mike D. said they like lost family without a father:mjlol::francis:If you remember the Lake Prodigy diss he explained why he gave P back his chain&how he got him the album

Neither of them went "pop".
Mobb held onto their core sound longer (HNIC was the first time you heard Mobb over beats that were "current"). The track with 112 was a clear attempt to soften their sound and get radio play. "Kill any misconception that you got of Mobb Deep" still makes me physically ill to hear that line

It's Mine video was definitely a standard issue Hype WIlliams video for the time - so I see your point, but outside of the hook, it wasn't geared for radio.

If it was just a nas song but the same song and video you would call it mainstream right?

That's shaky reasoning for Marly though. Sounds like you're just giving him credit b/c he was from QB. Not b/c he created the sound that came to be known as the QB sound.

At the end of the day, if people talk about the QB "sound" they are talking about Mobb Deep...so Havoc. I gotta mention Q Tip too.
U also gotta mention the Beatminerz.

No. I would describe it like I did above.
It's similar to Street Dreams to me. Only thing mainstream about the song is the hook. And even then its just Nas singing...not some real R&B type crossover.
Both got glitzy videos.
