He has had a lot of help throughout his career
The shooting incidents (he had a couple of them iirc) that he was blamed for. He got his music banned from a bunch of stations and couldn't even get play in his own city.
He's also one of the most inconsistent popular rappers, and nothing he drops is all that good to be honest.Machine Gun Kelly.

and when his contract was up, he wanted to go indie instead of resigning. And when you go indie,

Keri Hilson was not blacklisted at lest not successfully. She released two albums with a huge budget. She had hit songs. Her career just never really took off.
A lot of the names being dropped in here are people who burned bridges and may have ruined or tarnished their relationships with their peers. Others just fell back for one reason or another. For producers, a lot of times, it's the latter. Once you hit a slump, they'll just find some new guy to ride. I remember Timbaland saying record execs told him to his face "You don't have it anymore. That's why we have these two new guys".
Keri also 'came' for Beyonce... Well she kinda really did with her shady lyrics & was dragged into oblivion.
