What you mean fam :ld:?

If KRIT just focused on albums, he can gain more steam in the singles he drops. Studio albums get WAY more attention than a mixtape would ever do
Not just KRIT, but rappers would put straight piff-ness :ohlawd: on a mixtape, which only their core fans would get to hear, instead of putting all that focus on an album. So instead of 100% classic shyt on a studio album, it'll be 50% classic shyt for a mixtape, 50% classic shyt on an album. It waters down their material breh :ld:

Putting out too much mixtapes oversaturates your brand, and fans lose interest by the time your album comes out

Joel Ortiz would've been a star in the 90s.

Jay Electronica and Blu are too "artsy" for the 90s. Jay E done well for someone who never dropped an album.

Krit is too multi-talented. This's an era where it's good to be rapper/singer/producer/director. In the 90s rappers just rap. Also Krit is a real person. Not a character.

I said that for the longest time. Mixtapes de-value your music and make your fanbase take your tracks for granted.

Saigon came in the wrong era. If he came out back in 96, he would been a star.

If Maino came out in the late 90s with the super thug shyt, he would have a CNN type following.
