No they don't, sales do not equal classic...nikka
Thank you. Em got the sales but IMO he has one near classic album and its The Slim Shady LP. The rest of his shyt can hardly be listened to nowadays let alone people claiming he has 3 certified classics.

My pick:
Devin
The Dude
To The Xtreme
Just Tryin To Live

Devin is too one dimensional for me. Just Trying To Live was a good album but far from classic.

Post some links.
Give me a few. I'll put them in my profile

:what:
Hell that's 90% of all rappers. You might consider him one dimensional but the way he constructs songs and presents them creatively are mostly on point. Tough Luv, Doobie Ashtray, Lacville 79, Who's The Man, It's A Shame, Reefer and Beer, Some of Em, Just Tryin Ta Live, Fa Sho...man I damn near named the whole album. Far from classic my ass that album is just about neck and neck with The Dude which is classic also.

Yeah he's definitely talented. His subject matter just doesn't appeal to me.

Oh - and good looking out on the links. They weren't big in CA when I was growing up and for whatever reason I never went back an checked out the old stuff.

He may be the nicest rapper I've ever heard period not even playin.

It might be because he's in a group or he hasnt been battle tested. That might be the reason y he's not in anyones list. Dude been quietly droppin classics for 2 decades. I got all their albums though. Just like the nas and thought thread on whose the best. I still cant choose lol.

The East Coast sound was more or less dead around 2002. The Fix was more Face trying to cater to what was mainstream at the time. It wasn't like he got an album full of Primo beats.

Lotta reachin' goin' on in here...

also, just because an album might have 1 or 2 classic songs on it does not make it a classic album...

that's what im saying.

a lot of random names and average albums being mentioned in here.

DI gets quotes because of how simplistic it is. Kind of like a child's nursery rhyme. Or the it's so bad it's good factor.

nah. cam killed that album. then you had dudes like hell rell & un kasa going off.

juelz & jim weren't lyrical miracles but their deliveries, voices, mic presence and basically everything else was

its not possible for an album to be considered classic just because of the beats. that's ridic.

the fix was indeed east-coastish.

the preemo style of beats havnt been the definitive east coast sound since like '96.

you could've easily gave the beats on "the fix" to beans, styles, etc.
