We dont know which Kanye would have come out now. He has changed A LOT over the last 10 yrs.
I would argue that a lot of 90s GOATs would be nobodies if they came out today.Not to take away from what they did or their talent. But there are definitely windows of opportunity that coincide with certain sounds and artists.
Jay would not make noise today. Nas would do slightly better than Joey Badass. Eminem would have remained underground. Etc. They got in at just the right time for their respective sounds and work.
Nothing can stop classic music.
The classic from the 90's would be classics now.
Hell on Earth, The Chronic, IWW, OBFCL, Infamous, Doggystyle, War Reprt, AEOM, RTD, LAD.

Now that this this culture has become garbage nothing can take away from the classics of the Past.
Half of those guys would not even have been able to get the record deals and budgets to make those albums in the first place.
Again not a slight to them, more a criticism of the current state of the industry/rap in general.

If Budden and Lupe dropped their albums BEFORE 2002, they would have been contenders of great rappers of the 00s and a much better career. Too bad they debut when the likes of the ATL crunk shyt was popping off.

her and kelis are two who had their who swag jacked. ke$sha actually monetized the kid sister swag (nicki to an extent as well) and we know rihanna jacked 2006 kelis's swag something serious. kelis would've been a more viable artist today than when she dropped in 99/00

disagree, i think she came out at the right time, she was huge her first two albums, that dancey shyt was still big so it helped her being that her performance >>>>>> her singing. she just didn't have longevity, it it what it is.
