I hear you...just speaking personally, i went thru UGK's entire cat and kept about 10 songs the other day. i like them alot as rappers, but i dont like Mike Dean/N.O. Joe/Pimp's beats. not for me.
i like Texas' rappers alot more than production

I like those kinds of beats a lot (obviously not as much as I like Havoc, Premier, Dre, etc.). But I think putting our personal taste to the side, Riding Dirty is widely considered a classic as well as the Diary and potentially 4 other Face albums

I think this thread is more about the artists who never really connected beyond a few songs here and there...but have a wide influence. Otherwise, we could say this applies to Pac, Nas Jay as well.
