For those calling it good but not great, I dont really know what you want out of female hip-hop album, but this is worlds better than anything I've heard from any other bytch in forever

Yep. Jean Grae was very dope but she never made a truly great album. Her best project was Jeanius with 9th Wonder and they fukked up the retail by having some songs replayed live instead of keeping the samples.

Rapsody really made a complete project with this, and I still encourage people to check out the Crown EP from 2016 and the Beauty & the Beast EP from 2015 if they like this album.

 

[Piff Perkins]

Production is dope. Rapsody does her thing on most tracks. If I have a complaint right now it's moreso the tone....there's almost a joyless, emotionless feeling in the way she rhymes. Similar to a lot of backpack types that just makes the music sound stale. Luckily she has amazing production to do this on.

 

[Tribal Outkast]

I think this album is solid. Probably her best full project to date.

 

[Piff Perkins]

Lot of stand out tracks.

This is dope.

Rapsody is not a boring rapper though. I like Skyzoo but I get it if people find him too rigid, Rap on the other hand is a very balanced MC and has great delivery. I just think her beat selection can be a little better / more consistent and she needs more melodies to really add replay value

Breh I don't get it, what's people's beef with Skyzoo? He's really good at that nostalgic but not old type of rap. Been listening to the "shooter's soundtrack" for two weeks now, it's legit flames.
