Only thing I'll say it was time for Masai to go but Ed Rogers is Maga and a POS and they will prob hire some cac and dem rob Babcock days will prob be back.

This is exactly what's gonna happen. They'll hire some middle of the pack cac
At best we’ll get another Brian colangelo or Greg grunwald

What was the point of keeping him throughout the draft process if they were going to fire him the very next day after the draft?

If the new GM isn't a fan of the guy they just drafted, then that was a waste of everyone's time

Bobby Webster ran the draft and seems to be leading candidate to replace Masai.

Forgot he was still in the league/with the Raptors

He had a good run. Got a championship, got paid, had his mini linsanity moment as the GM sensation

I dunno what the track record is for how long a GM stays employed for a team that ain't winning multiple championships. LIke, we just had 7 new ones in the past 7 years, so idk how many of those same decision makers in Masai's role are still employed by their teams... not as volatile as the coaching seat but probably not a stable position either, and there's so much luck that goes into winning a title. So props to him for milkin the position as long as he did, and with something to show for it.

Masai has been a mess after the bubble season. We needed change and I think he failed us in roster construction and holding onto assets for too long. Ed Rogers owning the team seems like trouble. They did spend on the Blue Jays but I am unsure if him and his team even care for basketball. I assume we probably get it wrong with Masai's replacement. I just don't know what to feel because Masai is a legend and gave us our best team. However, he kind of overstayed his welcome with poor decisions and not understanding where the NBA is heading. I think we both needed to part ways but I don't like the conclusion of it because it can get bad for the Raptors.
