Too much friendly shyt and horrible animation at first, then when they made frieza good, I was mad for a minute. Like he did so much evil shyt, he is the reason the fukkin show exists, that was bullshyt making him fight with them and defeated the whole purpose of the show.

Knocking off points cause first two arcs were ass and the 6v7 arc had no tension. Really the show overall was missing tension even in the Black arc cause these dudes arent actually the strongest, you always got Beerus in the back.
Some of the filler was great (Arale one, baseball) some was horrible (copy vegeta)
But the Black arc and ESPECIALLY the TOP are top tier DB. Some of the most creative fights in DB history

5. This series had so much storytelling potential but they got lazy.

The issue with the series is it just doesn’t feel organic and feels forced, Tori has long lost the ability to make something as good as the original series. I will say some of the ideas in super were good, but the writing and execution of said ideas were horrid (The future Trunks Saga is the most underwhelming thing I’ve ever seen in the series by a wide margin).
Some of the new characters are ok, but a lot are just forced (Jiren) and it’s the same old same old formula. I really do hate that the franchise is pretty much the wwe of anime and so many new fans and $ brought in has allowed them to just coast for close to 20 years
