Rate this anime day 28: Street Fighter 2 the animation movie.

I never got the alert from the last thread or seen an update in the leaderboard thread on the last thread (Food Wars).
good thing I never seen that anime or I prolly would have been

as for this thread...Street Fighter Movie gets an 8.

Its was one of the early anime I saw back as a lil kid. Thought it was dope then and still dope now, but its not perfect. Always felt like some characters didn't get to shine properly or have any real memorable moments. DJ, Guile, Cammy, Balrgo, etc...a bunch of nikkas were under used. With that said, they still made a decent movie with great fights an animation.

I always preferred the 3 Fatal Fury movies to the Street Fighter movies like this and Alpha. The only street fighter anime that I felt way a true masterpiece was the V series. Better plot and the fights were just as good and more character were utilized.

I always preferred the 3 Fatal Fury movies to the Street Fighter movies like this and Alpha. The only street fighter anime that I felt way a true masterpiece was the V series. Better plot and the fights were just as good and more character were utilized.

Never seen the Fatal Fury movies. But Street Fighter V was a solid series but certainly not better than the movie. Especially since half the episode was recaps anyway.

Some of the best animation for a video game adaptation. but I didn't really appreciate the character introductions and attention to detail re: trademark special moves in the way that a true Street Fighter fan would. I've only played some of the crossovers and EX3. Never 3rd strike, Alpha, Turbo, any of the other games that made the franchise popular so the nostalgia factor is mostly lost on me.

Was you even a fan of the video game?! this thing was huge when it came out problem is it should have been advertised way more and only put on DVD... Capcom kept the shyt low key... It should have had a limited theater run...

That's why I said really op to @SJUGRAD13 this movie was okay at best movies like Battle Arena Toshiden and Fatal Fury were much better.
