10. GOAT shyt. Required watching. I'm putting this over DBZ and Cowboy Bebop as my fave. Mach 5 is my dream car. And my nikka was out here w/ the scarf on, on some pretty boy shyt, putting hands on nikkas

Speed Racer dubbed is hilarious to watch now. The animation and hurried voice acting have aged so poorly that everything feels like a comedy sketch



IIRC the talking speed is because the producers didn't know how to naturally dub english over the original japanese dialogue yet. So they had VA's had to speak lines as fast the frames were moving.

I don't remember the story or characters leaving an impression on me unlike the toonami lineup through the late 90s into the 2000s. It's hilarious for ironic reasons that would usually make an anime bad. Like Garzey's Wing. Wasn't a favorite when younger so the nostalgia isn't much of a factor for me. I'll give it a 5 to be consistent with other scores in this poll.

nominating any Ghibli Film. Spirited Away and Princess Mononoke are the usual giants. Can't go wrong with either. When Marnie Was There is a personal favorite, but not that popular relative to others so Grave of the Fireflies is Howls Moving Castle are probably better choices for the poll.
