Fort Worth is basically Jersey City while Dallas is NYC if that makes sense.

lol Definitely wouldn't go that far. JC is basically like another borough to NYC.

Ft worth is to Dallas is what St Paul is to Minneapolis.

They twin cities, with dallas clearly being the more prominent of the two, though I think these days fw is growing faster. Don't quote me on that though.

Definitely more "Texan" than Dallas. You can't deny that at all.

Well it's definitely more "cowboy" than dallas.

It was actually founded as a trading post for cowboys on the notorious chisolm trail and was home to a lotta outlaw rustlers. So, I can see that Texas stereotype shining brighter there.

Quoting you on that. Minneapolis and St. Paul are completely opposite. St. Paul has nothing fun to do and LITERALLY NO nightlife, it's completely dead very early while Minneapolis is poppin all day. Saint Paul is relatively safe and basic while Minneapolis is more if the traditional big urban city. Even driving changes from one city to the other, driving is super smooth in St. Paul and when you cross into Minneapolis, it's a near-death experience trying to drive.

Literally no one would ever mention St. Paul if it didn't border Minneapolis. Is this the case with Fort Worth compared to Dallas?

Well I've only stopped in Dallas as an itinerant a few times, but yeah Dallas is a true blue ranked prominent Texas city of importance. Ft worth, while big, simply doesn't stand on it's own by itself in that manner. I mean, just go on google images and look at FW's skyline vs Dallas'.

From what I've heard FW gives off the same vibes as you describe SP up there does. Not a lot going on in terms of entertainment and night life. It's mostly residential. Crime, though, I'm not sure. FW cats tell me all the time that it goes down there more than Dallas.

They might just be talking about certain spots though, like the stop six neighborhood I posted earlier.

For worth has a very nice downtown compared to dallas.

And though fort worth had a large white population....there are a lot of black folks in fort worth.

Back in the late 80s to mid 90s ft worth was a pretty tough city. Whole lotta gang violence. They started gentrifying the eastside back in the late 90s but it was more like a smaller town type city where everyone knew everyone and was related to everyone. As opposed to Dallas which had a bigger city feel.
