In black texas culture, FT is probably a lil more prominent than in general, but it still gon be seen as Dallas' lil breh breh.

shyt even agg town is making some noise up there in the rap game these days. I wish other SETX cities like Galveston and Beaumont could get on like that. Outside H-town, NETX killin us right now.

Well I've only stopped in Dallas as an itinerant a few times, but yeah Dallas is a true blue ranked prominent Texas city of importance. Ft worth, while big, simply doesn't stand on it's own by itself in that manner. I mean, just go on google images and look at FW's skyline vs Dallas'.

From what I've heard FW gives off the same vibes as you describe SP up there does. Not a lot going on in terms of entertainment and night life. It's mostly residential. Crime, though, I'm not sure. FW cats tell me all the time that it goes down there more than Dallas.

They might just be talking about certain spots though, like the stop six neighborhood I posted earlier.
Not true at all.

Fort worth had 70 homicides in 2019. Dallas had 41 in one month.

Naked stats can be misleading, because FW has a much lower minority(black/hispanic) population. But, the places where they do live like stop 6 look grimey as fukk.

I ain't even know TX had big grimey ass pjs like that till I see them some of them projects in stop 6.

Our biggest projects in the H, cuney homes, kelly courts, and freedmen town oaks, don't look nothtin like that. But, then again our apartments in the hood tend to look worse than the actual public housing pjs.

That look like some shyt outta New Orleans, though. They do call that mf MurdaWorth after all.

But I ain't from DFW. You'd know better than me.

FW gets an 7 due to the safe, walkable downtown area. Homeless knows not to fuk around downtown unlike Dallas. Probably the quietest downtown area on a Friday night you’ll ever come across...no loud music bumping from cars, but occasionally loud ass Harleys. Great for hanging with your girl if you just want to chill in the square and people watch, but not much to do unless you’re white. Restaurant quality is only fair downtown, but gets better the further you go west, especially on 7th street. Stockyards about to get revitalized with more modern restaurants and social activities. The cac money is to the west and southwest with most of the grime to the north and east, but gentrification is creeping East fast towards Stop 6. Planned development around Panther Island will our FW on another level. Good city, shoulda stayed in the area...

My sister has been living in Fort Worth since 2013 and she tells me its country as hell . Definitely not like Dallas . People are more laid back and less transplants . I felt it driving from Dallas when I visited her as soon as I hit the city limits Lot of Bamas . Felt like I was more in Alabama than in Texas.

Pros: Landscape (has a lot of greenery for a big city. Something I didn't see as much when I was in Dallas and Houston.

Food
Opportunity
People are chill
More relaxed than Dallas
Cost of living

Cons: slower paced (especially compared to Dallas)
Women :hhh:
Crime rate
Backwards minded folks

The black and especially Hispanic populations of Fort Worth don't seem tobe far behind Dallas. I was kinda surprised to see that because people in here are acting like it's cac central

You'd have to live here to understand why we feel that way. Ft. Worth(despite it's large minority population) is the only major city in the state that voted red in the last election bro. Dallas, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, even El Paso all went blue.
