South Side Chicago to Nola
People who have been to chicago and atlanta, how would you compare the 2 when it comes to the following? The main question is should Chicago be ranked above or below Atlanta

1. Women
2. Shopping
3. Restaurants
4. Crime
5. Better for black people
6. Education- Atlanta has hbcus while Chicago has Northwestern, depaul and other top notch universities
7. Sports- People have already said Atlanta is one of the worst sports towns
8. Cost of Living
9. Weather
10 Late night 24 hour spots.

I lived in both, but born and raised in Chicago

Women it’s a tie, they both have good and bad points, but you will see more women trying to move to Atl than the chi, but don’t get it twisted it’s hella girls in Chicago

Shopping is great you can find everything in Chicago

Restaurants in Chicago are great and diverse, from African, to polish, and many nationalities between

Crime it’s rough in the chi, but i think it gets publicized more also so i can’t call it

I’d say Atl, but minor edge, it’s highly saturated in Atl and greater Atl area, job wise, but it is a black Mecca. But there is a push to get us up out of there

Education is personal choice so I’m neutral, but as far as board of education for the little people i can speak on Chicago, they need to be better paid in Chicago (teachers) and some schools need to get combined and overhauled

Sports is king in Chicago, and we have a title in every major sport

Illinois/Chicago is ridiculously expensive

Obviously Atl has better weather

I found a few 24 spots in Atl not so much Chicago

I love my Chicago. Goat city. Gets a 10 from me.

Oh you stayed in the city :ehh:

Born and raised, chi town til i die, it’s a diverse city with a rich deep culture, the city was founded by a black man DuSable, there is really historic black neighborhoods like bronzeville and Pullman, and pill hill (where black doctors and professionals lived) we have a ton of businesses there, museums, concerts fest different ethnicities

1 because I have never left from O’Hare on time.

I’m convinced their flight schedule accuracy rate is 10%.

1. Women, I’ll give to ATL. But Chicago got a lot of women that have roots from MS, AL, LA etc. Thick joints.

2. Both are about on par, but Chi has more high end draw than ATL.

3. Chicago. Not even up for debate. Outside of NYC and SF, no other city in the US has as many Michelin Star rstaurants. Not to say you ATL’s restaurant scene isn’t there yet.

4. Chicago just off the strength of the soith side.

5. Toss up honestly. ATL is black mecca, but Chi is a better city economically.

6. Chicago. UChicago, Northwestern, DePaul etc. Plus some world class research institutions.

7. Chicago
8. ATL although Chicago is good for a big city.
9. ATL
10. Chicago

I thought Chicago was more segregated?

I can't speak too much on that.

I've only visited several times (about 15 times). Never lived there. I've mostly really been to the touristy spots...those spots, at least, appeared to be diverse. Blacks, Asians, whites, Hispanic, old, young...

I think it's like a lot of Midwest cities...diverse in the sense that you can find many different races there.... But the races are in their own little groups/sections of the city.

I gave Chicago a 10, because it is a World Class city. IMO the only cities in the USA that truly compare to Chicago are New York, Washington D.C. and San Francisco.

IMO Atlanta is overrated. It is a nice city, but to me it is a lot like Los Angeles and Houston. Just sprawling messes with shytty public transportation.

The more income you make the more likely you'll start seeing diversity....but this applies mostly on the north-east side near the lake. Start going west and you'll start seeing Blue lives matter flags everywhere.
