As a Philly native living in the dmv now, I miss our food terribly. Not just cheesesteaks but the GOAT Italian food, the Thai food, the Jamaican food, the Chinese food, etc...

What can I say...you either love it or hate it. It fell off somewhat over the years, but it was strong prior, so that's not saying much...
It's currently resurging. A lot of culture. Other cities arent fukkin wit it's mural artwork, cheesesteaks, or die-hard sports fans. Their simply not.
A sturdy supply of black women (a lot of ratchets...because it is an urban city). Don't be fooled by the haters on this forum tho...there's a lot of winners within the city. Not even including the transplants (from all the major universities). Dont get it fukked up...
The thing about Philly women, (like most cities in the NE corridor) is females will spot a lame quick, fast, and in a hurry. You will be exposed and thrown to the wayside.

As for infrastructure, like I said in another thread, ATL (and DC for that matter)...got Philly lookin funny than a MFer in the light. Outside of downtown and certain neighborhoods, too many spots lookin like warzones. Revolutionary war status...
Trash cans were not created equally for certain spots in Philadelphia. It really is shameful, cuz you don't see it like that in Harlem, ATL, or other black strongholds. City govt. seems to not give a fukk...

Visited Philly from London earlier in the year and much preferred it to NYC. Felt like it had a more chill vibe. The positives:
The murals, especially the Malcolm x one
The city where Joe Frazier trained during his career, shame his gym is now a sofa store
Home to the classic Rocky series (although the statue is too much imo)

Philly was definitely lit in the 2000s. I was a yb but I’m falling out of love with my city as an adult. Maybe I’m just cynical from personal experiences but the people here are trash. There are good eats and lit scenes but the culture here is 
come here for the good times in the good parts of the city but get in and get out. I give it a 6/10.

Crime has been booming as of late but with Covid and people losing jobs it’s expected but the city is doing nothing to curve it
my biggest gripe here is nightlife ...like I’m not a club person anymore but there was only 1 real club right before Covid hit and Like zero great lounges ....back in the early 2000’s nightlife was so lit the hardest part was picking where you wanna go ...used to club and bar hop every weekend
EDIT: i don’t have kids so i overlooked this but the school system has gotten worse ...the city does a great job to attract young adults but as soon as they settle down and have kids they bounce cause the schools are trash so we lose that tax base
