Same here DMV food scene is nothing compared to Philly. As a Philly native living in the dmv now, I miss our food terribly. Not just cheesesteaks but the GOAT Italian food, the Thai food, the Jamaican food, the Chinese food, etc...

I'm moving back to the area from the DMV
I love what University City will become in the next few yrs with improved transportation infrastructure, more high-rises, retail and restaurants
Patiently waiting for University City Square 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 to be complete...as well as Schuykill Yards
I fukk with Philly, especially South Philly. North Philly is demonic though![]()

to get a familiar taste of back home. There was a spot in Columbia Heights called JJ's Cheesesteaks but, they closed down. I've accepted I'm going to spend my life in the Philly area (either PA, Delaware, Southern Jersey or in Maryland near the Delaware border) because I start missing home when I live somewhere else too long. That's one of the main reasons it was so hard to adapt to DC when I lived there. The food and the culture differences. Beautiful city but, their culture is so unique its jarring because its nothing like NYC/Philly. Had me going to Georgetown for offbrand cheesesteak panininsto get a familiar taste of back home. There was a spot in Columbia Heights called JJ's Cheesesteaks but, they closed down.
