I count switch as debarge personally since there's so much of the same personnel.
Actually Bobby was apart of debarge

Off there first album, Bobby's vocals at 2:40 mark he comes in and kills it

Debarge with Bobby as the lead

Debarge McDonalds commercial in 84

I gave them a 9. Elite. Vocally other groups will be better.

Like who...:mjtf:

That vocally as good if not better then most groups

For example
The original song queen of my heart Bobby was only in the song for seconds and owned it...2:40 min

But el was so competitive against Bobby they redid the song on the second album without Bobby and el sang his vocals but clearly couldn't do it to extend Bobby did it, who make it seem easy...

El singing Bobby's part at the 2:49 mark on the second version

@Rhap.So.D can you tell the difference between the 2.

Fyi: most singers even great ones cant pull off that range either way.

Bobby killing it on I call your name

El killing it on I like it, especially at the end

When you have 2 talents like that in one group that puts them over 99% of r&b groups
There's a reason you dont see niccaz today hitting those notes......cause they cant.

Not to mention the sister could sing her a$$ off.

I think El is a very very very good singer and he doesn't get the credit he deserves for influencing people like Usher and Tevin Campbell, usually we give all the credit to Mike. But with that said, the other members where just good singers in their own right, but as a group overall there will be other groups that harmonized better. Not a lot, but I'd be lying if I didn't say a Jodeci didn't harmonize better. And it won't even be close when you get to Boyz II Men. :yeshrug:

Breh, you do know Bobby was the better then el vocally.

And harmony wise they were super on point...check this live studio session just singing no beat "all this love"

look man I gave them an elite. :pachaha:But I'm not giving them a 10 because Boyz II Men musically could be a college course for harmonizing. And 2 of Boyz II Men could be elite singers in their own right, maybe 3. Like I'm already reserving that 10 for Boyz II Men. :hubie:That 9 was the easiest 9 I've given out though.

Man this one is tough cuz they had talent and the hits, it's just that the drugs derailed their potential. They even crossed over which was pretty tough for any black musician not named Prince or Michael Jackson to do, and even they had to release masterpieces to finally get respect.
I'll give them an 8.

10. They are more of the most sampled groups period. And their Unsung :mjcry: one of the best ones. They whole family been through some deep shyt. They had multiple groups within the group, I can’t even tell which is which.

Way too many songs to post, I don’t think I’ve heard a whack song by them.

Bobby and El can sing their faces off for sure. But I think groups like the Temptations and Envogue have them beat in terms of every member holding their own and being able to do lead.

A lot of their album cuts were duds. But to their defense they didn't get the chance to fully mature as songwriters and producers before they were on their way out.
