TYRONE GA!
I used to visit Hampton often in the early to mid 2000s

The caliber of woman there is top tier

Just visiting the campus, my cousin would introduce me to her friends...and her friends became my friends...they were driven then & became lawyers, financial advisors, IT Managers, etc...

If I went to an HBCU, it would be Hampton or Clark, strictly for the women...and this is coming from someone who is currently a Finance Exec

The women there left a big impression on me

2 of my homegirls from high school went to Clark while I was down the street at Tech.

Me and my homie would go down to the AUC so I could chill with them sometimes. But man...ain't no damn way I would have passed my classes with the shyt I saw at the AUC with Clarke, Spelman, and Morris Brown. shyt, even the ITC. First time I went there to visit them, my eyes were big as shyt looking at broads there compared to the wackness at Tech. shyt made NO SENSE. All me and my homie could do was just shake our head.

My cousin whose like a sibling went to Clark and she is a delta

I was plugged in with the Clark Deltas...and then found my own work down there

I knew about Clark in HS, but to see it up close, I would've gave them strooooong consideration...I went down there as an undergrad...and I also went as a young adult to the alumni homecoming parties...SUPER LIT :banderas:

I think I would've found a wife at Hampton tho...I usually don't do redbones but the way they carry themselves with such prestige is a turn on to a philly nikka :noah:

Hampton doesn't even allow post grads + international students to apply online.

That is a joke.

International experts are the lifeblood of any serious university.

Above the fray.

ASCEND Initiative

On March 5, 2024, Provost Scott Strobel announced the Alliance for Scholarship, Collaboration, Engagement, Networking and Development (ASCEND) to strengthen Yale’s partnership with HBCUs, whose missions center on the education of Black Americans. Over the next five years, Yale will commit $2 million annually, for a total of $10 million, to this initiative. ASCEND will support research collaborations between HBCU and Yale faculty, provide resources for HBCU faculty research projects, and expand pathway programs for HBCU students. These programs, planned in collaboration with HBCU partner institutions, commit to increasing representation and amplifying the significant contributions of HBCUs in shaping the academic landscape.

Our relationship with Hampton will extend our focus on collaborative efforts in Applied Sciences, Technology, and Law.

I remember when I was stationed on a ship (CVN-65) in the Newport News shipyards. I got an apartment in Hampton. At that time, my car had a Morehouse back window sticker on it. Some Hampton University women left a note on my car in the appartment parking lot that stated, "Hampton women seeking Morehouse men." It was quite a bit amusing, but I was definitely not dating any women in the same apartments I lived in.
