In Baltimore, you go a block from the inner harbor you gonna see some shyt. Same in Johns Hopkins. One of the top hospitals in the world in the middle of the fcukin hood:wow:

I live in Howard County and I avoid Bmore. I work in DC, you gotta be a total dumbass to find yourself in the worst parts. It's not sudden like it is in Bmore.

I used to be in the strees in both towns and can say that around the corner from the White House shyt was fukked when I lived there. As far as the Baltimore lean (as you called it) the drug of choice there is the heroin but in DC it's that hard white. Them swords be having them muthafukas on that gangsta lean while nikkaz hitting that pipe still look somewhat normal.

DC may have changed since I was in them streets but I remember being able to go two three blocks away and get that Coke, dope 24 hours a day with no issue.
People wanna sensationalized who has it worse, Baltimore overall is a shyttier place to be because D.C. has a bunch of nice spots :yeshrug: gentrification is another thing going on Big in D.C.. But the worst of D.C. is still as bad if not worse than everywhere else. The drug epidemic, K2, nikkaz panhandling at the register, kids maybe 7 yrs old asking to pump gas and it's 11pm on a school night, random person standing up but nodding off..might even be leaned all the way over but will balance themselves til they snap out of it

Sound familiar?

Life in South East :yeshrug:

:salute: to all the red door goers from the Galveston heyday :hhh:

Been living in DC for about 2 months and it’s no worse than Cleveland because of Gentrification. Although prostitution is rampant here, I feel much safer in the city here than I ever did in Cleveland.

DC is nothing like Baltimore in that regard.

The White House is in the heart of downtown and there is not a hood for about 2 Miles. (You will see a hood once you get past Union Station on North Capitol st)

Baltimore, you can walk 4 blocks from the inner harbor and end up near a good shopping strip. You can walk a few blocks from the downtown area and catch people of all races hitting the Baltimore Lean.

You don’t see dope fiends in actually on the streets versus seeing it every block in Baltimore.
Always wondered if cats commute from Baltimore to DC...seems like it would be a good look since the real estate so damn cheap in Baltimore compared to burning money on rent anywhere decent in DC.

DC has changed from the late 1990s. Coke ain't being sold like that. K4 Synthetic Weed is being sold a lot more and heroin is prevalent.

Just about all of NW DC is gentrified now and still boasts the richest residents. SW has gotten a face lift with new developments around Wharf and Maine Avenue. Areas of NE DC are getting gentrified as we speak. SE DC across the river in Anacostia also has some new development but it remains the cheapest area of the city but there's no grocery stores, no retail, and is an after thought.

My father had a Somali restaurant on U Street back then. And the green line was still new. So the area there had more traffic but nearby at Malcolm X Park, there was always a bunch of drug fiends, hookers, etc. I always wanted to go up the hill to the park as a kid but was always told nope.

Plenty of people do. Either from Baltimore City or the counties near it. The MARC train goes to Union Station and then you can use the metro. Some people drive :damn:

Property is mad cheap in Baltimore. The time to buy and hold onto something is now. My pops friend bought two houses for $25k each.

I live in Bowie which is in PG County. I commute to work in downtown DC by driving... takes less than an hour most days.
