Again, calling me a scumbag means absolutely nothing because you don't know me. A domestic situation between a couple who had been dating for a decade is different from a man randomly knocking out a girl. This is a fact.

If my sister was in a relationship with someone I felt was a good guy and made a terrible mistake, I could probably find it in me to forgive him provided he showed remorse. Of course I would be livid if someone punched my sister. But every situation is different and every situation has details. If the Ray Rice incident happened exactly with my sister( dating for 10+ years, zero history of bad behavior/history of good behavior, alcohol involved heavily) it'd take some time to get over and forgive, but if she felt ok with getting back together with him- who am I to get in the way?

In Rice's case, it seems his fiance has forgiven him. I'm not going to judge them any further. If they want to be together and are happy- let them live.

I feel people in general have become too nosy, too demanding for apologies they are not going to accept anyway and live by the words "do as I say, not as I do"

yup it may have been the most poor choice of words ever. either he was completely winging it out there or he got up there and forgot about everyone telling him beforehand not to use a fighting analogy in the apology press conference for beating up your girlfriend. the only way he could have made it worse is saying next time ill take the stairs.

Funny thing is, he specifically said that he had pretty much rehearsed what he was gonna say at the press conference. He even looked at his phone to check the script.
