I need to ask, because this confused me reading your post

Donovan Mitchell outdated :usure:
Using athlete jersey numbers for gun references is 15-20 years old at least

Doesn’t matter if it’s a current player

that punchline is so outdated

And what makes it worse is verb said twin .45s but there’s no correlation(that I’m aware of) between the word twin and Donovan Mitchell so that was just a random ass lazy outdated punchline

I rather an athlete jersey reference then a defeat/da feet bar tbh.

Tbh the batters have to write bars that cater for 2 audiences the live crowd and the one watching on PPV/YouTube. So you have to be fast food and a main meal rolled into one. So you will get outdated references/punches/schemes/angles that are thrown in to get the live crowd to pop. It's cheap but effective.

The whole concept of telling someone they ain't a gangsta and the various different ways they going to shoot, stab, kill that person over and over again over the course of 3 rounds is outdated. But it's the easiest way to write for the street genre of battle rap. Unless you're an extremely innovative writer who can write bars deconstruct and character assassinate the flaws of their opponent without metaphorical killing them and more importantly keep the crowd engaged.

Lol 86% of thecoli had CASSIDY winning the battle. I just upped the thread. What the hell is this guy talking about ?

It just shuts down his whole argument, and his inability to be objective.

TBZ is one of the most objective places out there in something as subjective as battle rap.

If he’s not unable to at least understand why Verb is viewed as the winner, than its time to admit some bias here.

And then he’s been trolling this thread and the PPV thread posting bars he doesn’t like from Verb and bars he likes from Mook to illustrate whatever his point is. The battle is 1 hour and 30 mins. You know how easy that is to do?
Ironically the guy ur responding to thinks diz won that battle :mjlol:

Mook:
That's why my capital type major
Look at the keyboard, watch
You see the power is at the top
I makes a lot (salat), this Llama lace him (assalamualaikum) why would I lie (Allah)?
I'm sorta cocky cause my aura got me (origami) foldin' a lot of paper

Verb:
fukk ya, I ain't star struck p*ssy let these new nikkas pay homage to you
It's time to eat, I'ma go noodles like a college student

Fans:
Verb 3-0

:why::why::why::why:
You had 1 too many I can haul it drinks

Verb easily. Mook stay recycling angles. And he was acting like a lil hoe talking during Verb rounds. I havent been impressed with Mook since he came back. He only looked good against Lux cause he used all Hollow shyt from his battle w/ Lux
That shyt is a dot mob thing. Acting like a hoe when the other nikka wrapping. Rex be on the same shyt. Mook was started he poking and touching shyt and touched Verb every chance he got but when Verb touches him he goes :hubie: like “look he touching me”, u started that touching shyt u hoe :dahell: Then in Verb 3rd he talkin and dancing n doing madd gay shyt. Him an Rex annoying as fukk.

Nah, Mook started off touching Verb aggressively but he handled Verbs provocation better than Verb did his.

I still think this battle is debatable :manny:

Y’all really do see this shyt the opposite way. :heh: Mook has always been physical when battling, not sure why everyone is acting brand new, I suppose because no one has seen him in a while. Verb got physical too, Mook just didn’t actually respond to it. Verb responded heavily. Not saying it’s right either way. But it’s only a big deal depending on if the viewers like the battler or not. With Suge it’s great, with Mook apparently it’s the worst.

That’s cool w always being physical but when Verb say stop and shyt almost breaks into a confrontation, then chill. And Suge don’t like a nikka for the whole battle, a pocket check and a lil bump here and there is expected. But 10 min rounds of poking anothing nikka is sus

Logically, I'm with you, you're right. Strategically, Mook was clearly just trying to break Verb's mental.

Verb says "My dikk get hard", the crowd reacts as anyone with any sense would have expected them to react when they wrote that shyt, and of course Verb goes right into his "Y'all are biased" bag. :snoop:
I believe Verb wrote dat shyt on purpose hopin to get get booed just so he could keep his bullshyt ass "New York hates me" narrative goin
