What is your perspective on this?

Were they trying to be too professional and show they can get through the battle without an issue? Were they battling in a way to minimize the drama?

Did they look like they didn’t even want to do it?

Would the battle have turned out better in NY? Where it should have been?

It’s crazy how this battle turned into a dizaster lol.
I think it was a combination of the Atlanta crowd in general (RBE really should never do another event here, the crowd there is always bad), the fans anticipating a fight so they hardly reacted and also Math and Jones both were kinda light. I think the battle definitely would’ve been better in another environment but I don’t think that much better since their material just wasn’t that great. I thought Jones third round was the best of the battle.

Consensus I’m seeing is that Jones took this. Not surprised most people on here are saying Math though.
I think that has more to do with how hated Math is online in general. I thought Jones was gonna get the consensus win unless Math just outright bodied him. But the battle is so boring and forgettable it’s not even worth debating who won to be honest. I will never watch it again, but off first view live I had Math taking the first two.

So is Serius

I think it’s more people find Serius boring and not that good. I would say Serius is more hated by other battlers but Math is hated by actual fans. That’s how I see it.

We'll agree to disagree.

They are both disliked for damn near the same reasons imo. 2 battlers that are considered boring/terrible with personalities that rub people the wrong way.

I know you don't view Math that way, but a lot of people think he's trash.

To be honest I don’t think we’re really off in opinions. I just think that it’s battlers that feel that way about Serius and it’s fans that feel that way about Math. Most battlers like Math. Most battlers don’t like Serius.

Never got that impression. I definitely acknowledge that I could be wrong.

Do the battlers really like Math though? Or are they just not as open with their dislike for him like they are with Serius?

If these guys show a dislike for someone like Serius, he's able to shrug it off. With someone like Math, it becomes "a thing." I'm sure these guys loved seeing that Cali situation happen to Math,.

Now, I do believe the battlers are more familiar with Math and know him better. You know the type of familiarity you may have from just being around someone from years. Serius isn't really around these guys that much. I doubt they really know him, however his personality probably rubs them the wrong way.

Serius Jones never told his side of the Miami story. I wanted to hear it in rap form. His one chance to clear up that he didn't take a L in Miami now it looks like he got beat up twice.

No one thought he took an L in Miami in the 1st place

That definitely could be it too. Just familiarity since Math has been around them a lot more. I think guys like Verb, Big T, Shine, genuinely like Math. I think guys who don’t even think Math is good like him personally like Suge and Twork for example. Whereas Serius, he’s not around them enough and they really judge him off interviews and the small time they spend around him he seems to just be bragging on himself.

I agree.
All the fans see that Math has some character & anger issues, but in real life he is personable & fun to be around.
Serius comes across wild self centered & off in his own world.
Maybe they are generally disliked for the same reasons, but Math has the personality to win over a room. He is way easier to like if he didn't do anything shady to you personally.
