It should be a yearly tax credit spread out over a generation for every working adult.

It won't happen, but it kills every argument.

How can we pay for it? It's spread over 20 years.

Anyone can get? No, working adults who file taxes do.

It could be roughly 10k a year for any US citizen who has a TBD percentage of African Ancestry dating back to slave times.

10k over 20 years is a suitable payment that I believe could help level our playing field.

Because the argument shouldn't solely be we were slaves, the argument should be we have been consistently disenfranchised as a people for generations after slavery.

Saying its solely for slavery puts it too distant for people in power to rationalize why or why not African Americans should even receive it.

Free school/college guarantees NOTHING. There are waiters out here with Masters degrees. The rest are cool. We also need tax breaks and protected status to help stop police and racists killing us.

It’s 13 million blacks in the US. Let’s say u gave everyone a low end figure(10k), that’s 1.4 Trillion. I just don’t see it happening. It should’ve been done after slavery, it’s pointless now.

It’ll never be pointless, that’s crazy talk. A debt is owed, and we AA’s are still suffering from America’s sins.

Not every AA wants to be a business man/woman.

Loans wouldn’t be available to a lot of us anyways; you know how messed up our credit is as a whole?

Not every AA wants to own a home.

College, trade schools, and healthcare will be coming to everyone in this country, and history has shown when everyone receives, we end up on the bottom.

A check has to be cut, and how, that’s on our government and appointed committees to figure out the logistics. We should’ve been taken care of a long time ago, but we weren’t, so here we are.

I'm not clicking this to give them any views. But from the thumbnail alone, these people look biracial or mixed. Of course they are gonna hate on reparations. The are scared that if we got reparations, they wouldn't get any of the cut.
