I’m struggling to find sellers but I have some serious buyers thus far even though it’s only been a week since I got my license.

Update- started working in NY and man these apartments go fast! Keep your fingers crossed, one of my clients has an app in and we’re trying to get another look-see at a contingent place.

I’m also looking to build relationships with landlords that accept programs so I can get a couple of broker/agent contracts. I have a current unit in BX legal 3 br.

I also got a listing, BK condo for $350k. What have y’all been up to?

@Dion Isus

I got a question
I'm assuming that your are black so I want to know if there's any type of racial tension with other races landlords and clients?

I ask cause relationships are very important in this area

I hope y’all are able to assuage client fears in the midst of this pandemic. Be safe and may your clientele flourish :hug:

I just plunked down a chunk of change for marketing on Zillow- my brokerage in NY does it and it definitely works well, I got 15 actual leads with full criteria and contact info based on speaking with them - naturally had to disseminate them throughout the office. Let's see if I can replicate these results, wish me luck!
So you have to share leads that you pay for?

That isn’t something I can answer for you. I’d recommend you look up resources and identify your personality, patience level and ability to take no for an answer.

Waiting on the governor to see if RE (NJ) is deemed an essential business. Technically he said professional services are allowed to continue but given the amount of public exposure I’d rather have a specific answer. Not expecting much in the way of purchases but people still need and want to move apartments.

I’m limiting my time in NYC period, my brokerage there held open houses this weekend which I don’t think was a great idea. Will be back early April.

property management company??:lupe:

i wanna start one :jbhmm:

In CA you have to have a RE brokers license to have your own company. Assuming you don’t have experience, I’d go for my RE salesperson license and get a position for at least three years with an existing PM company before striking out on your own-not sure of how long out there you have to be an agent before eligible to be a broker but here it’s 3 years. Ideally they can pay for certifications and training while you build a clientele, reputation and a portfolio to have access to credit.
