Meh. I've always only owned 1 console per gen (with this gen being a slight exception) and have known and played plenty of would-be gamers that own all the systems and found myself to be a more knowledgeable and better gamer at most games than them. And different strokes for different folks , as not every gamer has the same gaming preference to where they need to own every would be "must own" game either. There's some critically touted games to some real gamers still just prefer not to fukk with.

Also, I know most gamers that grew up with games more than likely didn't own all the systems till they grew up unless they were really spoiled. It wasn't necessary back then to own all the systems to be considered a "real" gamer and it's even less needed to do so know and everyone knows this. So throw this bs concept to the bushes.

What do people do all day?

I don't have time to play my xbox 360, let alone buy every system out there

i buy all the systems and i work a lot so i don't game except on the weekends. i'm single just hit my 30s and i have no kids and my living expenses add up to like $800 a month which isn't even 1/3 of what i make in a month. needless to say i have a lot of disposable income.

If you into racing games then owning both a Xbox/PS and a PC make sense

All three platforms have dope exclusive racing games


Personally, I'd be satisfied with one system and a PC, I like a couple of exclusive PC titles


But I don't see the point of the average casual gamer owning every system plus the PC

But after seeing how this gen played out... there's only a select few exclusives titles out there when it's all said and done. Mostly everything else is multiplatform or a timed exclusive.

For most people, 1 console and a gaming PC will be enough to cover all bases.

I bought both PS3/360 early on this gen and play them both regularly, but I think I'm gonna be a PS4 head next gen. The only game that interests me on XB1 is Titanfall and thats coming out for 360, as is DR3, so M$ can kiss my brown ass.

When i got the 360 i only played NHL,FIFA, GoW, and Halo. Stop playing the last 2 so now its basically netflixbox while i play PS

The PS4 is reserved, i can wait for Titanfall....
