It's very solid, and I couldn't stand Meek out the gate and for years to follow. All my youngbucks would show me his youtube videos and I didn't see the appeal, obviously he was buzzing in Philly for a while before he blew and I just didn't fukk with him, and that's putting it kindly.

Fast forward and I'm a fan, DWMTM was low key my favorite album of 2015. Not saying it was the best, but I played it more than any other album, ironically IYRTITL was my 2nd favorite (TPAB was by far the most complete, impactful, and powerful album, but it's an exhausting listen). Plus he just continues to show growth. Both 4/4 drops show a level of technical skill that's already better than what he did on DWMTM, in terms of flow, rhyme schemes, wordplay, etc. Dude won me over.

MMG 1 and DC2 are his peaks

DC3 was wack and so is his 1st album

DC3 wasn't wack IMO, and I approach EVERY album with skepticism no matter who releases it. It wasn't great but it had some legit bangers on there. Plus after that and his 1st album, he came back stronger than ever IMO with DWMTM. If anything that's his peak, but I think he still has some growth in him.

Yea I wasn't much of a fan of the singles, but they weren't horrible and I understand the logic behind them, but the rest of the album I thought was very solid.

And I agree about him evolving, I don't think any mainstream artist has shown more growth than him. I think among the big mainstream artists (Kendrick, Drake, Cole) he was the one that needed to grow the most, but he put the work in and did it. I actually put him in the conversation with those 3 now, Drake is the pop star, Kendrick and Cole the real lyricists, and Meek is the street dude.

yea the singles we're for him to reach a different audience which worked, All Eyez On Us video is about 100 million views on youtube so that explains everything. now with the Drake beef this might of helped even more.

Yea exactly, and apparently Nicki pushed him to make and include those songs which turned out to be a good call, I think he could've stuck with just one, but overall they didn't have a negative impact on the album, and as radio singles go I can actually listen to them in the right atmosphere.
