Burress a carbon copy of Chapelle? dog no. Chapelle is just an all-around funny dude. If you look at his "Killin Em Softly" there were mostly black people in the audience with some white people sprinkled in the mix. yea white people really started fukking with him heavy because of his show... you're right about that. so did every other race, creed and nationality. shyt was just funny.

But a lot of (young) black people don't wanna see Def Comedy Jam - style comedy either. It had a good run in the 90s/early 2000s but it's been played out. Let it die already.

many of them are young

actually, Def Comedy Jam is supposed to be coming back.

Russell Simmons said white people were the largest viewing audience of Def Comedy Jam in the 90's.

Altho that was prob b/c Black culture wasn't overly consumable as it is today so it's not as "shocking" now
