nikkas even saying Chappelle was cac jokes. I'm glad that era is dead. nikkas get to evolve and do more than just hood comedy. Now the onus is for some nikka to step up the hood comedy genre. It will happen eventually and it will be great. till then...

Corey Holcomb is bitter and mean spirited. He's proabably funny to coli nikkas, but that "I'm just keeping it real comedy" era has been done to death and by much better comedians than Corey Holcomb.
We got tired of "keepin it real" comedians.

The illest thing about it is the comparison to rap. If a old nikka bring up the fact that "mainstream rap" is garbage the first thing nikkas will say is...well shyt, play that old shyt and shut the fukk up. RIGHT. Ok then go pop in your comic view VHS from 97 and have fun. I ain't trying to see or hear the same acts 5 comedians in a row, talking about how they got beat growing up, or how it was in the hood, etc.. nikkas finally evolving and yall want the same shyt from 35 yrs ago. Pryor did it in Stand up. Murphy did it in stand up. Foxx did it on TV and set a standard that hasn't been replicated since. Just duplicated.

Nah SOME old shyt wouldn't be funny some shyt is still dope. but its the GREATS. same way i can bump illmatic now doesn't mean Master P first CD isn't hard to listen to. the problem with "hood" or "real" comedians is that unless they are extremely talented, they all sound the same. ESPECIALLY stand up wise.
