(Most) Americans have had it very good compared to the rest of the world for the past two centuries. Politically...economically....rights.

If these things were to diminish (e.g US economy falling off drastically) then you have a real problem on your hands. Well armed citizens who believe the govt/elites are responsible for their predicament.

Americans spent more money grooming their pets last year than the entire GDP of North Korea. Why you think they, or drug cartels, have anywhere near enough money to influence anything this large in scale is beyond my comprehension.

They make their money primarily through their markets in the US. this arrangement wouldn't continue if the US went to shyt. I dont even see how this would be in their interests. Our prosperity and drug addiction makes them rich in the first place.
