And Dro or Fab could merk drake any given moment in 2013....not sayin they'd get em everytime but its at least 50/50.

The mic presence, the arrogance, the lyricism, the flow, EVERYTHING. Elite lyricism at its very best. This song alone bodies any Drake song I think I've ever listened to.

Then you couple that with an actual woman on the hook, not some feminine homosexual with a voice like a woman and you have yourself a classic.

I have no problem with Drakes image whatsoever and his content is surprisingly ambitious at times but his talent is seriously exaggerated, especially from the OP

I don't expect you all to agree...but...the guy is talented with the SKILL of putting words together, flipping phrases, punchlines, and general wit.

Its easy to pass his music off, especially the lead singles, but on his features and album cuts, its hard to really deny the man his credit.

Its a nuanced argument you have to appreciate. He understands diction to a degree FEW other rappers truly do.

Going back to Room for Improvement, theres so many slick lines and hidden wordplay that often gets overlooked by people who claim to really appreciate the craft of rapping.

If you're struggling to find my point, just listen to Drake's verses or better yet, read the lyrics as you listen to the songs.

The guy is pretty elite when it comes to the structure and presentation of his lines.

Anyways...K Dot thrives on just flow, filling his lyrics with borderline empty bars, and outright rhyming of words. Drake is actually SAYING something. Thats kinda the difference. Drake's verses GET somewhere. K Dot is like that meandering that backpackers love but is ultimately circular.

Kendrick isn't metaphorical or even witty in his lines like that. He's big on lyrics for lyrics sake. Drake is better with lyrics for the song's sake.
