Over analyze unimportant people in a comic while not realizing criminals can go about their business at a later time brehs.

I read this shyt 2 years ago and highly enjoyed it. Aside from the art I had no issues with it.
It's not overanalysis. The shyt was just stupid, period...at a cursory glance. :manny:

Y'all generation may under appreciate it, but TDKR was a groundbreaking game changer and the most influential and impacted graphic novel/comic book telling ever made. The way we view and see Batman today all was due to that specific graphic novel. The entire reason there's even a Batman vs. Superman conflict was all originated from that specific graphic novel. The reason we got a homicidal twisted Joker that we know today was due to THAT GRAPHIC NOVEL. You don't understand the influences of virtually every telling and retelling of Batman had due to that novel. The Tim Burton film was directly influenced. We would of had the GOAT cartoon, BTAS had it not been for this graphic novel. It LITERALLY changed the entire TONE of comic books in general. It was THAT groundbreaking.

It's like saying "Criminal Minded" is okay, but dated for today's standard, and dismissing the cultural impact and influence that it has.
That doesn't really have anything to do with what I said. I never downplayed its impact and influence.

Lol...okay, I guess this thread created itself.

Does that have ANYTHING to do with me referring to you about your preference? I was making a comment since the topic was about TDKR. I could give 2 fuccks if you like the book or not. I just gave my two cents, you can give a sh*t or not, but don't get all defensive because I mentioned its cultural impact.

You were responding to what you perceive as underappreciation of TDKR by a generation who read it later. I created the thread and spoke critically of it as someone who just recently read it, and some others echoed my sentiments. Change your maxipad.

Yes, I was responding to the overall consensus.. NOT what you initially posted or anything you have said. I give two sh*ts about it. So there's no REASON for you to reply in defense about you never saying this or that, because I wasn't referring to YOU. When I address you, you will be ADDRESSED like right now. End of discussion.

Watchmen aged considerably better imo.

yeah, it did.

But Watchmen was a homage and told an original story with Charlton character expys.

DKR Batman has basically been Batman since then.

So the story REALLY shows it's age. lol

I could never blame anyone who just picked it up as feeling it was overrated.

It would be like getting mad cause some kid didn't like Run DMC's Raising Hell or saying they didn't like Akira or Ninja Scroll.

Basically, the assumption that something can't be sen as "overrated" or "dated" just because it was called "Groundbreaking" 30 years ago is stupid and asinine.
