Blackberry has always been about no-frills functionality and not the bells and whistles entertainment stuff. The fact that they will now have all the iphone/Android bells and whistles is only an added bonus

If we're going to use a car analogy - the basic function of a car is to get you from point A to point B in the most efficient and safest way possible(gas mileage, reliability etc). Similarly, the basic function of a phone is to get person A to person B. BB does that as good, if not better than anyone with its push email, enterprise email, security, messaging, OS intuitiveness, keyboard etc. It was the crappy sound system, no cup holders, no backseat screens, no seat heaters, 0 to 60 in 12 seconds(not fun to drive) that turned consumers off. No longer though
