IQ84 was a weird book. Long, but a good read.
I didn't think it was worth reading the books after watching all the movies. I've seen the all the Swedish films and even the American adaptation. Still worth reading?
wasnt the author of these three books dead, and they were going through her stuff and found them and had them published? some weird shyt like that.....all three are very good books, i may have to hit up netflix for the swedish movies....I don't know. I haven't watch them. I've just been reading the books. There is so much controversy and top secret shenanigans surrounding Lisbeth that the books have been very enjoyable to read. I don't know how closely the Swedish films mirror the books but, if the American version is any indication, you've essentially read the first book. The book adds more details about the supporting cast such as Berger, people at Millennium, and Lisbeth's hacker friends.
Initially, I started reading the book after watching the American remake. I was reading the books in anticipation that they would make a sequel to the American version. It wasn't until midway through the second book I found out the version I saw was actually a remake of the Swedish film and they already had a movie for all three books.![]()

Ziggiy said:If you have an interest in High Fantasy I can recommend Robert Jordan's Wheel Of Time series, my all time favorite fantasy series. It's 13 books long though so its a bit of a dedication but its straight piffery for Fantasy buffs
The ONLY problem I had with that series is the length of time between volumes. Had to re-read every prior book to catch-up, but the whole story was......Found out Jordan was dying around book 6 or 7, so I understood what the lag-time was about.
If you liked Jordan, I'd suggest The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind. I just recently picked up The Omen Machine, 13th book in the series, but it's been a while since I read Confessor, so starting next week, I'm gonna start back from Wizard's First Rule and read the whole series again.
