man I keep a steady rotation of events and emails flowing. shyt is gonna be on fukking overdrive in the spring/summer and I'm hyped. I remember going to poppin rooftop spots on a fukking Monday night at the damn Standard and shyt like that. We need an official NY night life thread in here but I';m just worried the lurkers will flat out kill that shyt. I'm not willing to compromise (LOL) all the spots I've cultivated.
I could care less if motherfukkas are in La Marina all summer (like they will be this year) or at some bullshyt party at Webster Hall, but the official joints cant get run into the ground. I dunno maybe we gotta see who all the NY peoples in here are and just PM info back and forth

You talking about 48 Lounge? I haven't been out in midtown much. Mostly hang in LES, Williamsburg and Harlem. After this long ass winter I'm looking forward to trying out some new places.
These tourists out here ain't no joke. I'm seeing more and more of them at every spot I go now.
As far as midtown goes- depends on what type of bar/scene you are looking for. Yeah midtown is generally lame but the happy hour weekday crowd is better than the weekend crowd imo.
If you're looking for a collegey type atmosphere and quarter beers go over to Second ave. Brother Jimmy's etc.
For a more upscale laid back spot....some of the hotel bars are decent. Recently went into this spot and it was pretty chill

Played mostly 90's rap, decent crowd, hot bartenders. You also have the rooftop bars that are opening, which will always attract a diverse crowd.

I stopped doing happy hr's over there like a yr ago. It's either LES or Brooklyn these days for me.
hmmmmm. seems like we got a few midtown brehs in here. I work on 47th near times square but I'd fukkin LOVE to be on 57th on the west side near the Time Warner Center/Central park. Even tho its touristy and gets packed that shyt is a cake walk compared to 6th ave/7th ave/Times Square area which is a complete shyt show, even late at night because these motherfukkin tourists don't know when its time to call it a night
..... I'm on the east side bro. Nada happening over here but damn near normal priced "happy hr" drinks. Lexicon and Copia are by me though, as far as spots with some blacks folks in them.
Draughts on 55th btw 2nd and 3rd is a good spot

It's a beer bar just a heads up. Lunch menu is legit....they put on about 6 specials and you get a beer for 10 bucks. Not a douchey crowd either for HR.
