I've never met ANY cool brothas in Midtown ...even if I see a breh with a nice little white girl on his arm, he be frontin' like he don't notice we the only two black men in sight. I don't know why but it makes me feel some type of way.

A lot of times their girls even compliment me to makes sure he notices, can't stand Midtown. Can't stand uppity brothas neither, you got your shyt together, cool, but don't act like we ain't the same breh.


Harlem makes a brotha feel at home ...and certain parts of Brooklyn, but Brooklyn has a lot of work to do.

I've won a few happy hours there, they've got a nice mix of people and fun, music's always bumping. Turtle Bay, pubs, etc. it's still midtown though, it's just okay to me can be hit or miss.

For a more chilled crowd with poc Harlem isn't bad, there's a lot of lounges and open-mic type, house bands and such (I know a few). You can't go wrong with bk either, anywhere but wburg.

LES is still my fav, a mix of dives and music places. I live for live performances. Soho is alright as well.

..... I'm on the east side bro. Nada happening over here but damn near normal priced "happy hr" drinks. Lexicon and Copia are by me though, as far as spots with some blacks folks in them.

Copia is blah though! Even though I work in queens I like to hit the city for happy hour too. Haven't found anything in midtown yet. Do want to check out lounge 48. I like LES or union square.
