Why are you doing all this for a 10 + pc? My 10+ pc is in my crawl space collecting dust.

My CPU idles (ie when I'm just browsing online/doing nothing) around 35-45C. It depends on how often I dust it, really. You'll want to purchase a can of dust remover, and spray your heat sink every now and then; dust stores heat, which makes your computer run hotter than it needs to. If you're idling at 54C than it tells me you need to clean your computer out a bit. Just follow the directions, and hold the can upright; if you hold it to the side or at the wrong angle it could spray out liquid, which is bad news.

When I'm playing PC games my temps tend to hover between 55-60C.

You need to put a ice tray on top of the old desktop to serve as an exterior heatsink. It'll help disintegrate the heat and keep your case cool.

Also download wpakill to kill unnecessary tasks that might be stressing the CPU even when idle. After that order a new motherboard fan.

so i figured out how to control the fans in my CPU

but how to do control the fan inside of my GTX 680 with this program?

I use the evga software. I think you can do it with rivatuner as well
