I hope the people that are quitting are leveling up with new skills to increase their income.

Inflation is on a tear right now and the pendulum will swing back into the employer’s favour.

Don’t wanna get caught with your pants down because this is one of the best times to level up on employment and income.

How? :stopitslime:

You were completely wrong about Southwest Airlines fiasco though, you fukking clown.
:mjlol:

“But Southwest said that it was because of weather, even though no other airlines had any major disruptions”

Now you Progressive dummies believe everything that these corporations have to say, huh? Yep. When it fits that narrative, you sure do.
:pachaha:

Are you still trying to carry on this facade that you weren't wrong about the Southwest cancellations? You got serious mental issues on top of being the most mentally handicapped poster on the board. You right-wingers are batting a thousand when it comes to being wrong about shyt.
Imagine starting that thread then acting like this when you got proven to be 1000% incorrect, just like we told you form the get go:russ:

No, it wasn’t a pilot ‘sickout’: Here’s what was really behind Southwest’s flight disruptions over the weekend

Before a yung @Krisrunner2049 joined the natty guard he was desperate for a job, ANY job. I had to apply to about 20 McDonald’s :russ:a few local restaurants for dishwasher/busboy gigs, and movie theaters and whatnot. Did not land 1 :ohhh: a$$holes were emphasizing lack of experience. So I see shyt like this and just

i'm starting welding classes in january and i'm really excited about it.
from what i understand there has been a shortage in welders well before covid came around, even more so now.
besides the excellent pay and being able to essentially write my own check, the idea of solitary work appeals to me.
travel would also probably be a part of the job and having work pay for travel is the shyt.
could also use this new skill to create sculptures on my free time.
Congrats fam. I know in Louisiana they're always looking for welders and pipe fitters. I thought about going to school to be an electrician but I love cooking more. Been doing it for damn near half my life. I left my head chef gig for state certified nutritionist for different hospitals. It's not my dream job but the pay is really good and it's a new experience every week.

I wish more people would go after jobs they love over jobs that pay the bills. Work don't feel like work when you love it.

i worked in kitchens all through HS and college.
i def learned allot but i couldn't go back to it, that chapter of my life is over.
sounds like you are working in more institutional environments than i did.
i worked in some places that were straight up wild.

but yeah, i'm really excited about learning a new skill that is in demand.
it's also something i have genuine interest in so win win for the kid.

A lot of McDonald's in the hoods brought the touch screen machine in, nobody ever used it and instead talked to the cashier, and now with covid nobody want's to touch the dirty ass screen with their finger. I went in there for a has brown, all 4 touch screens empty and it's 2 cashiers with a long line
Screen is no dirtier than any other surface in that bytch and COVID don’t even spread through touching surfaces :russ:

A lot of the McDonald’s I’ve seen the people are using the touch screens :francis: cashiers will soon be a thing of the past

The service industry is notoriously difficult customer-facing and underpaid, I go past certain chains in travel centers that are never open bc of the staff shortage. Companies either gonna have to adjust and pay people adequately or more people will be adversely impacted for a long time.

Right jobs as contractors not employees...big difference. Most restaurants use a service like Door Dash or UberEat. There are no benefits, limited rights and no guaranteed income. The restaurants & delivery services pass on the expenses to the driver (gas, vehicle cost & maintenance etc) and the consumer (additional fees).

Huge win for restaurants
That’s not true at all

Delivery Apps like Uber Eats and DoorDash Are Charging Restaurants Huge Fees

Are DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub hurting restaurants? Chef Andrew Gruel says yes

I saw a post on facebook the other day that basically said use your pto time, take your breaks and lunches, etc, and there were idiots in the comments talkin about "I signed up to be a team player. If i have to work harder, oh well. My job pays for my life."

I hate those gung ho, "git er done" ass idiots. They type of fools who would love to die on the job.
I use every bit. Can't stand them I worked 20 yrs straight, never missed a day"ass ppl .
